As Maui gears up to reopen for tourism, we at Hāna Farms are taking numerous precautions to ensure that our guests and community stay safe during this global pandemic. Our community of Hāna is home to many kapuna (elders), and we are dedicated to keeping them, as well as all of the residents of Hāna, safe and healthy. We ask that you reschedule your visit to Hāna and our farm if you feel sick or have any symptoms of a headache, cough, shortness of breath, or body aches. Please join us in caring for our community and the world at large.
Here’s what we are doing to keep us all healthy and happy!
At Our Stand
Tourists and locals alike love stopping by our stand on the historic road to Hāna. Here you can find delectable local produce, mouth-watering sandwiches, and handcrafted goodies.
If you decide to stop in, we ask that you:
Wear a mask
Use hand sanitizer before entering
Observe social distancing measures with people outside of your party
Have tested negative for Covid-19 if coming from off-island
Our stand workers will:
Wear masks
Wear gloves when handling food items
Observe social distancing measures
Sanitize surface areas often
Unfortunately, we won’t be offering free samples at our stand at this time. Please chat to one of our stand team members to get flavor profiles of our products.
In Our Restaurant
The Bamboo Hale at Hāna Farms has an amazing selection of farm-to-table plates, including wood-fired pizzas, rice bowls, and slow-smoked meats. Our beautiful, open-air hale (bamboo structure) allows for social distancing between tables.
When dining at our restaurant, we ask that you:
Use hand sanitizer before entering
Wear a mask anytime you’re not seated at your table
Follow social distancing guidelines
Have tested negative for Covid-19 if coming from off-island
Our restaurant team members will:
Wear masks
Wear gloves when handling food items
Observe social distancing measures
Follow CDC guidelines for cleaning/food safety
Sanitize surface areas and seating often for our guests
All food is currently served on disposable plates and with disposable cutlery to decrease the likelihood of cross-contamination.
Keep Hāna Safe & Healthy
Again, we ask that if you feel sick, you reschedule your trip to Hāna. So far, Hāna has only reported four Covid-19 cases, and our community is striving to keep our numbers low. Any guests who do not follow the above precautions will be refused service and asked to leave our farm immediately.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and compliance during this time.
Mahalo,
The Hāna Farms team
